Second Summer
The weather in Rovinj is almost incredibly beautiful these past few days and it will stay so for at least a week and maybe longer. Dazzling blue skies and hot sun in the daytime, perfect for swimming in the still warm sea, cool quiet evenings and nights - it's like a second summer and it's even better than the real summer we had.

The underwater world in Rovinj
If you want to know what lies beneath, check out the Bijeli Lav underwater film festival www.bijelilav.org taking place in Rovinj in September and October.
Not only can you see the wonderful world below the sea surface though the eye of the camera; you can actually visit it yourself. There are weekend and week-long packages offering accommodation, entry to all film programs and several dives, including at least one night dive.

October in Rovinj
We have been lucky so far with the weather and guests who stayed at our Blue Doors apartment in June and July enjoyed a lovely summer holiday.
The apartment is booked until the end of September which has started with some rain, but the forecast says it will be warm and sunny.
October can also be a lovely month in Rovinj, very often warm enough for swimming and sunbathing. But even if it's not, you can have a great time here, going on excursions inland, to magical towns of Motovun and Grožnjan, for instance, or visiting local wine and cheesemakers for some fantastic tasting, or going on hike or bike tours.

Apartment Blue Doors in Rovinj
It is called Blue Doors
The apartment Blue Doors is on the third, top floor of a very old house in the historic center of Rovinj and you can see the sea and part of the island of St Catharine's from its windows.
It has a small kitchen with a living area
